Read is charged with running down John OKeefe and leaving him to die in a blizzard in the town of Canton on Jan. WEB Testimony in the Karen Read murder trial resumed Monday with Massachusetts State Police Trooper Michael Proctor the lead investigator.

The trooper took the stand again Monday morning, after jurors heard from a series of witnesses for the prosecution last week. Proctor is expected to continue answering questions about the night John O'Keefe was struck and killed on Route 138 in Canton.

The trooper is likely to face questions about the investigation into O'Keefe's death, including how long it took troopers to find O'Keefe's body and whether investigators pursued every lead.

Proctor is also likely to be asked about the evidence that he collected, including the Mercedes SUV that Read was driving the night O'Keefe was killed. Prosecutors say that Read struck O'Keefe in the Mercedes and then left him to die.

Read's attorneys have argued that the trooper did not follow proper procedures in the investigation and that the evidence that he collected is not reliable.
