Nottingham defender Scott McKenna reflects on memorable four years at the club

Latest Scotland player to be released by their club

Departing defender Scott McKenna has reflected on a memorable four years as his time at Nottingham comes to an end. The 26-year-old, who has been capped 27 times by Scotland, is leaving the club after making 138 appearances and scoring six goals.

McKenna joined Nottingham from Aberdeen in 2018 and quickly established himself as a key player in the team. He was part of the side that won promotion to the Premier League in 2022 and has played a key role in the club's successful start to life back in the top flight.

McKenna's departure is the latest in a series of high-profile exits from Nottingham this summer. The club has also sold defender Joe Worrall to West Ham United and midfielder Ryan Yates to Southampton.

McKenna's next destination is not yet known, but he is expected to attract interest from several clubs both in England and abroad.
